Delaware State Board Of Examiners

CHANGES IN LICENSE LAW:  

Senate Bill 143, enacted 8/2016, clarifies optometric and prescriptive practices and procedures that Delaware-licensed Therapeutic and Diagnostic Optometrists are permitted to perform. The major changes involve which medications you can prescribe (24 Del. C. § 2101) and a new duty to report (24 Del. C. §2123). InfantSEE is a public health program designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child's quality of life.  Under this program, AOA member optometrists provide a no-cost comprehensive eye and vision assessment for infants 6-12 months old regardless of a family's income or access to insurance coverage.
